A Big Weekend!

The Craft and Quilt Fair was in town, so Mum and I headed off to the Derwent Entertainment Centre to shop and also help out on Rosemary's stall "Stitch In Time". It was so much fun playing shopkeeper and meeting lots of lovely ladies. I met Lenna and Jan, both as lovely in person as they are in blogland. I also caught up with Cathy and Sarah, Leanne was there but I didn't see her. Sorry I have no pictures to share of these lovely ladies but I did take a couple of snaps of the things I bought.
It's not too much though as I've just purchased the Quilted Crow's Finishing Kit for The Quilt Aid project. I've even made a start on Helen's block!

Helen received a Highly Commended award for one of her entries and Diedre won a Long Arm Quilter Award, Congrats to both of you!! Diedre quilted the most amazing quilt, which was handpieced by Paula, thousands of hexagons, about 1" in size, truly a work of art. I was told it took 11 months to complete! Congratulations to Paula for your award too.

Summer Pincushion Swap

Gorgeous goodies were waiting my arrival home from work yesterday. My Summer Pincushion Swap had arrived from Mai from the Netherlands and it is fabulous. Mai has designed her own pincushion, a windmill, and it has two little pockets each side for scissors, thread and needle threaders and on the back is a needle keeper. Included was a 1.2m tape measure, a great length for quilting.

Thank-you so much Mai, I'll treasure it forever! Thank-you too to Sandra at Quilt at Home for hosting this fun swap.

My pincushion must be close to reaching it's destination, stay tuned and I'll let you know who the recipient is!

I spent the weekend working on my Christmas in July swap gifts, nearly finished.

The Craft and Quilt Fair will be in Hobart this weekend, if you're there keep an eye out for me on "Stitch in Time" stand between 1:30 and 2:30, I'll be helping out Rosemary while she runs a workshop!!

Back to work today and looking forward to catching up with fellow workmate Ange whose returning from maternity leave. It'll be so good to chat about craft and girly things rather than AFL with the boys!!

Have I told you I love surprises!!

I was very lucky to win a prize from Razzy's Special Place and it arrived yesterday. To enter all I had to do was pick out which quilt Roseanne liked the best out of a group of quilts she had photographed from a recent show. Well I couldn't go past No. 11 Bronwyn Hayes, I love the combination of stitcheries with blocks. Roseanne's lovely husband then picked my name out of those who'd chosen the same quilt. Look at all the goodies Roseanne's packaged up, fabric, patterns, cute scissors, thread and seam ripper, it's all gorgeous.

Thank-you so much Roseanne for hosting such a beautiful giveaway and to your lovely hubby for picking out my name. I'll have lots of fun with these goodies!

Sugar and Spice Annie Swap # 2

My lovely raggedy anne doll arrived last week as part of the Sugar and Spice Annie Swap #2 hosted by Aunt Pitty Pat. Her name is Miss Pennybutt, named so because she has 3 american pennies sewed into her bottom. She's beautifully made by Ani and comes with her own little story.

Thank-you Ani she is so adorable and I just love her sweet stockings! Thank-you to Marcel, from Aunt Pitty Pats for hosting such a fun swap.

P.S. I went to meet a new little man today and he is such a sweetie. Sarah did such a lovely job producing this one.

Other news this week is my PIF's have started arriving at their destinations, "Sew Much Fabric, Sew Little Time, Sew True" and "Enbellefrance" have both arrived and "Trashcan's", must be about to knock on the door.
